About Me
Meriwether Mosaics represents the modern mosaic artist. My background has been largely one of charging after a traditional career, but in 2018 I found formal mosaic training and everything changed! This niche is about creating art that celebrates life, adventure and the outdoors. Using hand cut Italian and Argentinian glass, in addition to semi-precious stones, ceramics, wire and other found objects, I create a diverse assortment of jewelry designs for a variety of clients. Additionally, I make designs in small wooden boxes and mosaic sustainably harvested deer and cow skulls. These innovative designs fit both contemporary and rustic spaces. If you are looking for adornment, decor or a bold home installation, give me a shout.
When I am not in the studio, I'm usually in the wilderness finding a slow river, a long trail or a bike trail. I love hunting mushrooms and tiny bugs in the wild with my camera and can often be found crouched looking at something that caught my eye. For more on me: ottersoutings.blogspot.com

My WorkBeginning with micro mosaics, I've evolved through the process of foraging. Whether this is wandering the shores of a river or the aisles of a remote rock shop, I'm always looking for new pieces to incorporate into my art. One week can see the production of mushroom pendants and the next a commission for someone who has lost a much loved pet.
This art form is so limitless, I don't want to begin to imagine what is to come. Join me in the journey of mosaic design! |
